Caring for Your Loved One at Home
The Hospice of Dayton Transitions program provides caregivers with the skills and education needed to care for a loved one in the home. We can help make the transition to home less stressful physically and emotionally.
Transitions offers one-on-one education for caregivers in
- Activities of daily living, including bathing, turning, feeding, oral hygiene, ambulating and transferring
- Organizing and giving the patient medications
- Procedures such as catheter care, wound care, breathing treatments, tube feeding, injections and the use of specialized equipment
- Education about disease progression and resources available to help.
